Edit, Add and Appreciate Sunday

Edit one thing–material objects, negative thoughts, bad habits, or activities that don’t reflect who you are as a person. It doesn’t have to be a physical thing; Sometimes bad habits and negative thoughts are more detrimental than physical clutter.

Add something. Bring in something or reinvent one thing in your life–thoughts, habits, activities, clothing, objects…Add something that will help you be a better person; And yes, sometimes a new pair of jeans can help!

Appreciate something or someone already in your life. Hug your children and tell them how special they are. Call your spouse, just because. Be extra polite to the guy who makes your latte. Frame that favorite piece of art.

Edit: Start on Phase One of my clothes decluttering. Fill one or two large bags with clothes for charity- these should be the “no brainer” decisions I don´t have to think about- nothing hard or too emotional! REDO from last week, didn´t even get started.

Add: Some new knowledge- I started reading Kabbalah for Dummies last night to see if I want to explore this further. I am going to read through the book slowly and carefully, it seems to be quite comprehensive. REDO from last week, didn´t get very far.

Appreciate:
My two older children and to make sure I find time for stories and games this week. ALSO a REDO (can you tell this was a tough adjusting week for me, LOL).

Appreciate: My eyes and sight!

I have had a horrid bout of viral conjunctivitis (not allergic so it turns out) the last three days and after a trip to the out of hours clinic first thing this morning (HAPPY MOTHER`S DAY TO ME! lol), I have some drops and cream to at least help, permission to take paracetamol and also some anti allergy medicine for good measure. So, I will be spending the rest of Mother´s Day on the sofa with Chamomile compresses applied intermittently to my eye, instead of watching my kids play tennis..

I love my eyes and I love my sight, will not take them for granted again!
(I still managed to blog though…..oops, can anyone say Addicted to Blogging….?)

Edit: I have too many baby clothes and blankets “stuffed” into the dresser. I need to go through and remove the things for an older baby to another location and also Edit down the amount of baby blankets as well (I don´t need 20 for everyday use!).

Add: An apple three times a day- before every meal. This is a “diet” spearhead for me…. hoping to eat less by filling up with an apple.


Appreciate: Being home and continuing to “make it home”.

Edit: Negative or scary thoughts over the next 24 hours.

Add: A new family dynamic. Happiness and Joy.

Appreciate: All the greenery that has suddenly appeared on bare trees (only a week ago so it seems). The hospital staff who will hopefully make sure everything goes smoothly this week.

I am meeting a friend for brunch soon however from yesterday evening have been quietly freaking out about the hospital side of things. We also don´t have a name! In Germany they don´t give you a lot of time to decide and my husband and I can´t can´t agree….

Edit: Remove last bits of clutter that I ended up dumping in my son´s room to get it out the way. It has to be done early this week, I am running out of time and its not fair on him for my negative energies to be cluttering up his room. REDO from last week

Add: As the spring has arrived, I am going to try and add one salad a day to my meals- maybe a lunch salad. REDO from last week

Appreciate: Endless sunny days of 22C and wonderful friends who are constantly offering to do things for me, even though I don´t need to take them up on the offer (yet).

Ooops—- two “redos” needed from last week. The salad idea was kind of implemented but not fully….and as shown by yesterday´s post, my clutter pile did not move – school holidays are kind of my excuse.

Edit: Remove last bits of clutter that I ended up dumping in my son´s room to get it out the way. It has to be done early this week, I am running out of time and its not fair on him for my negative energies to be cluttering up his room.

Add: As the spring has arrived, I am going to try and add one salad a day to my meals- maybe a lunch salad.

Appreciate: My husband for vacuuming the house today, fixing mine and daughter´s bikes, taking my broken Apple Mac to be repaired and cooking all the meals when I was sick – all in the last few days. Makes up for him leaving his dirty socks lying around all the time ;)

Thank Goodness I am feeling a lot better today, Friday really knocked me around and yesterday I had no energy and felt very low. I was worried that this feeling would continue till the end of the pregnancy, however it was sunny today and we managed to get out to a park and spend quality time together as a family. I feel more like my old self.

Edit: Fold and put away laundry everyday so it doesn´t accumulate. A much smaller job.

Add: Put handcream on everyday (with a UV factor) and rub excess on elbows. (I have three existing tubes of handcream so this is “free”).

Appreciate: Take some time to appreciate the blossoms and spring flowers now appearing.
